USPRE Update. What's Going On Around the U.S.?
Posted 03/20/08 by Donna DeYoung
Kimberly Boyer, president of USPRE, posted an announcement about what's been
happening recently in the U.S.
You can read the full announcement here.
USPRE was formed in 2007 as a group of breeders with a dressage focus on the PRE
horse. They picked up the Spanish Revision ball with Spain when the Foundation
for the Pure Spanish Horse dropped it. If you're looking for the TRUE Spanish
revision process for getting Spanish papers (as opposed to the fake one offered
by the Foundation for the Pure Spanish Horse), USPRE is the place to go. They
are coordinating with ANCCE and studbook services (LG).
Here are some of the highlights from the USPRE news article:
1) Their membership has grown
2) Lendon Gray (three-time Olympian) and Jan Brons (PRE trainer and FEI
Young Horse competitor) have been added to the Honorary Board of Directors
3) The first Dressage High Point Award was won by Janne Rumbough with Gorron.
4) Courtney King plans to focus on the Olympic Selection Trials this year
and will ride Grandioso III, a PRE.
5) Fiesta Midwest is the next up-coming PRE breed show to be held in Wilmington,
Ohio June 5-8.
