USPRE Update - International News.

Kimberly Boyer, president of USPRE, posted an announcement about what's been
happening recently internationally.
You can read the full announcement here.
Last month in San Jose, Costa Rica, a new FICCE president was
elected. You can see from one of our other
news articles that the previous
president was Barbara Currie. It's likely that her
involvement with the ANCCE/Foundation scandal caused her to lose her position.
According to USPRE, D. Andre Garnier is the new president and FICCE has
unanimously endorsed and reconfirmed their commitment to the
Spanish Stud Book [of Spain] as the only legitimate registry of the PRE breed.
This is another step backwards for the Foundation for the Pure Spanish
Horse which is trying to establish itself as an international registry for the
PRE horse.
FICCE's website can be visited
here.
In Spain, D. Javier Conde was ratified as President of ANCCE
and it is reported that cartas (Spanish horse papers) are being issued daily and
that "Stud Book operations are back on track."
